A 20 Year Celebration of Al Hodge
There’s a long list of academic and professional accomplishments that are impressive enough by themselves: a bachelor’s degree from University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently the University of Louisiana at Lafayette), a graduate of the Economic Development Institute of the University of Oklahoma, an Economic Development Finance Professional certification, SBA’s Louisiana Financial Services Advocate of the Year in 1993, Arkansas’s Financial Services Advocate of the Year in 2000, and one of AY’s Most Powerful Men of 2015. The intimidation grows as one continues to scroll down the list, but the man himself is the epitome of generosity, humility, and kindness. When asked why he loved his job, he gave three answers that exemplified his selflessness and love for Arkansas. First, he loves the ability to assist small business owners in the fulfillment of their dreams. Secondly, he’s honored to be able give back to Arkansas by helping to create employment, and finally, when asked why he chose Arkansas Capital as the vessel to do all these things, he says that it was due to the private, non-profit, economic development nature of the company that provides a financing source outside the traditional banking policies. What sets Al apart is his determination and desire to go the extra mile for his clients. He goes beyond the contract and financial resources. He provides networking opportunities and the right people for your business to not only succeed, but thrive. And if it sounds like he has more than 24 hours in a day, he also supports the United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas (among many other causes) and hosts 2nd Friday Art Night to support local artists Arkansas Capital is honored to celebrate 20 years with Al and all he has done to inspire the people and bolster the economy of Arkansas.
