Trusted Wills, 2013 Governor’s Cup Pitch Winner, Is Live
Arkadelphia’s TrustedWills.com went live this month. Trusted Wills, you may remember, is the Ouachita Baptist startup that won the elevator pitch competition in the undergraduate level at the 2013 Arkansas Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup. The idea for the startup was hatched by Arkadelphia lawyer Bryan McKinney and database systems and web programming guru Terry Sergeant. They brought on OBU senior-to-be Lindsey Fowler, who guided the startup through the collegiate business-plan circuit. Lindsey and Trusted Wills won the OBU business-plan contest, the Battle of the Ravine competition against teams from Ouachita and cross-street rival Henderson State, and then sailed onto the Governor’s Cup, where the startup was one of the undergrad finalists chosen from 47 total entries.
